Reflection on Server 54's Rules and Dynamics

Post by BlackCat »

No matter how many discussions or votes occur, the rules on Server 54 have proven ineffective. Let's take the "no looting on farming tiles" rule as an example. Even 1st, a prominent figure, has failed to adhere to it. Is it because he believes his significant spending exempts him from following the rules? Poor you, 1st—you know who you are. Meanwhile, the leaders of top alliances also disregard this rule. Sure, you can private message them or call them out publicly, but I’m sorry to say: **nobody reads or cares about it.**

On a positive note, melee mine attacks have decreased significantly—congratulations on that front!

However, the worst issue plaguing Server 54 is the looting rule. You decided and voted to attack any alliance without a city, yet 1st attacked the entirety of UN3. More recently, Sin Wrath—now conveniently transformed into Nomad with his own alliance—targeted FB4. Ironically, the same person responsible for uploading this rule not only opposes it but lacks the courage to confront Rocket and the other leaders directly about his dissent. Fascinating, isn’t it? Someone who sets the rules but also breaks them—without addressing the leaders face-to-face.

Then there’s the talk about protecting smaller alliances to give them a chance to grow. How noble. So, we're expected to sponsor their HQs to make them as strong as the top alliances? I, for one, am not a big spender, but I value my time and effort in this game. This rule seems less about fostering growth and more about discouraging serious, dedicated players like me.

It’s disheartening to see hypocrisy thrive. Players like Lolap act out, behaving childishly, and yet no one holds them accountable. Why? Because the "powers that be" need Lolap for war efforts. This double standard showcases the flawed application of rules—crafted not for fairness but for the convenience of a select few. If free-to-play (F2P) players can't loot or grow, we become easy prey for the top players. It’s now painfully obvious who benefits from these rules.

This hypocrisy and lack of rule enforcement are why I’ve left the game. Imposing rules while exempting yourself because of your power or wealth undermines the entire system. Attached is proof of my spending and my efforts to reach HQ25—dedicated, but modest. Contrast this with the newer players who don’t want to grow seriously or invest in the game. And yet, they are being "protected."

If things continue this way, more players will leave, and the cycle will repeat in a new server, a new game, with the same outcomes. One Lolap was enough, but now we have "Lolap 2." Congratulations—you’ve outdone yourselves!

At least I had a good laugh today. Cheers to being a kitty! 😘

hey,

1) the 1st attack on UN3, was because the leader insulted 1st and basically taunted them into doing it...
Overkill? I dont know - but people with attitude need to learn that words can result into action.

2) The actions of Sin are unique. Dont be disheartened about the progress we've made as a whole, with this server.
It's pretty hard to try and create some sort of system for thousands to follow overnight - especially when the game enables features for people to continue to be idiots.

*ahhhh, the freedom to not have censorship on the simply words :)
