We all saw the tragic incident today involving members in un4, the punishment given, accusations thrown, but isnt the reaction a bit over the top? verbal arguements happens all the time even with the people who we love, this doesnt warrant bullying to the extent of making a person want to quit the game? you say your piece, punishment done, thats it, a full stop.I have seen this happen quite a few occassion in my time in this server, is bullying people becoming a norm? to the extent destroying someone's mental health,
I know i might get criticized, or even get bullied even for bringing this up, so be it.
Bullying is not okay!!!
I said my piece

Re: Standing up against bullies
I believe the punishment is too much, and it looks like it's just trying to make an example to dissuade future rule breakers.
Re: Standing up against bullies
Yeah, fun needs to be preserved. If active players are forced out of the game, ultimately, it sterile. These games need players who actually want to stay active. A just punishment and move on.

but no punishment is also encouraging disobey rules.
I think kick out of guild and allow join back is a good way, he lost 1 day of event and dig, good enough punishment when guild still keep the active players

Re: Standing up against bullies
hello Lilimaster, yes punishment should be handed over, but not bullying them after said punishment, for example "if any alliance will take her, i will burn them" this is classic bullying, we need active players not some decomissioned HQ that you loot from once in a month, dont you agree?lilimaster wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 5:37 am but no punishment is also encouraging disobey rules.

JUST WOW,
![Image]()
In Indonesia, cyberbullying is addressed primarily under the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law, specifically Article 45B. This law considers cyberbullying a form of harassment, a criminal act punishable by a maximum of four years imprisonment and/or a fine of Rp 750,000 (US$55.55). Additionally, existing regulations on defamation and insults in the Criminal Code (KUHP) may also apply, according to www.growingscholar.org.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. ITE Law (Act Number 19 of 2016):
Article 45B:
This article directly addresses cyberbullying, classifying it as a form of harassment under the ITE Law.
Penalties:
The law prescribes a maximum sentence of four years imprisonment and/or a fine of Rp 750,000 (US$55.55) for cyberbullying offenses.
2. Criminal Code (KUHP) Regulations:
Article 310:
This article deals with defamation and insults, and can be applied to cyberbullying cases where reputation is damaged.
Punishment:
Defamation, according to Article 310, carries a penalty of up to nine months imprisonment or a fine of Rp 4,500,000, depending on whether the defamation was done through public writings or images.
3. Enforcement Challenges:
Evidence Requirement:
Enforcement is often hesitant unless there is clear evidence of a crime or a significant threat to someone's physical safety.
Restorative Justice:
Ihsa Institute reports that restorative justice approaches, like mediation, are being used to address cyberbullying, allowing victims and offenders to reach a resolution through apology, compensation, or community service.
4. Other Considerations:
Online Harassment:
The ITE Law also addresses other forms of online harassment, including cyberstalking, which can be related to cyberbullying.
School Policies:
Scribd notes that Indonesian schools are required to adopt policies to prevent and address bullying, including cyberbullying, on or off campus.

Re: Standing up against bullies
Online harassment is a serious issue that should not be overlooked. I understand the need for enforcing punishment when rules are violated, as it maintains order and respect among members. However, it is equally crucial to ensure that punishment does not escalate into bullying or harm someone's mental health.
Personal threats and obstructing someone's ability to join alliances or participate in the game are harmful not only to the individual being targeted but also to the overall community of the server. Instead of adding pressure on the person being attacked, we must maintain a civil attitude and create an environment where everyone feels welcome.
Let us work together to find a balance between enforcing rules and supporting players to preserve our community's strength.

You KNOW that there is way more going on than this, and you keep downplaying the severity of the issue.lilimaster wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 5:37 am but no punishment is also encouraging disobey rules.
